Yoga and Wine

Join us for a fun 60min yoga class and a bottle of Piquette this August with Jamie Bedard!

More details & tickets can be found here: https://www.exploretock.com/limitedadditionwines/event/496543/yoga-and-2023-piquette-with-jamie-bedard

Jamie Bedard Bio:

Jaime spent the first several years of her career between Boston and Washington, D.C. as a corporate attorney but found herself seeking any excuse to create and occupy convivial spaces centered on wine, food & community. Following the origins of those savored bottles to Europe and South America on her travels, Jaime decided to press pause on the billable hour to work wine harvest in the Willamette Valley where she simultaneously began to study yoga. Over the next two years, with great appreciation for the many yoga mentors along the way, Jaime began teaching asana on the side while continuing her studies of yogic philosophy and the sutras. The marriage of wine and yoga has always been at the heart of her practice, having trekked a mat around cellars and vineyards on three continents in deference to the mindset that your practice can exist wherever you breathe. Following the 2022 vintage, Jaime accepted a full-time position with Lingua Franca in the cellar and continues to lead winery yoga on site for all levels

Blood of Gods Merrymaking
Jul

Blood of Gods Merrymaking

The Merrymaking taking place in the small rural town of Walla Walla celebrates wine through the lens of heavy metal music and graphic artists. The zine, Blood of Gods, is the festivals namesake which asks wine industry experts and influencers to pair wine to the latest heavy metal album releases. This tasting asks us to leave our preconceived notions of the “typical” wine drinker on the mosh pit floor and welcomes wine drinkers and new to wine drinkers to think differently about how to make wine events more interesting, diverse and welcoming to all.   Proceeds from tasting go to Planned Parenthood and the pre-tasting seminar this year is a focus on regenerative organic and sustainable farming practices happening in vineyards across Oregon and Washington.

Alt Wine Fest

Alt Wine Fest

Oregon wine has become synonymous with Pinot noir, and it’s true that Pinot noir makes up 60% of all grape plantings across the state and 95% of red grape plantings in the Willamette Valley! But fear not innovation and disruption is close at hand this coming weekend at Abbey Road Farm in Carlton.

One of my favorite annual wine country events returns, the Alt Wine Fest celebrates the more than 80 different grape varieties grown around the state of Oregon. Don’t miss this tasting and chance to meet the exciting new makers and growers in the Oregon wine scene!
